This two-story doll house has a crow’s nest above the second floor with panoramic views of the mountains and the sea plus a small deck to relax on.

The artistic and romantic Fort Pelton is located just a half block from West Cliff Drive and the ocean. West Cliff Drive has a three-mile promenade for strolling or bike riding with spectacular views of the Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean. You are surrounded by nature and the area is a recreational haven. It is a great place to unwind, have fun, and return year-after-year.

About the neighborhood

Enjoy this recreational haven without the hassles of driving. You can walk, jog, bike (we supply bikes at no expense), or even roller-blade a half-block to West Cliff Drive.

On West Cliff Drive you can turn right and you will have spectacular views of the ocean on one side and beautiful houses on the other side from the promonade as you make your way leisurely to Natural Bridges State Park and the Monarch Butterfly Park.

Or you can turn left and make your way to the Lighthouse Field State Park which is a nature preserve. Across the street is another Santa Cruz landmark, The Lighthouse, with its surfer museum. From The Lighthouse grounds you can watch advanced surfers at famous Steamers Lane surfing right next to you! Hang out here for wonderful panoramic views of the ocean and sea life, the pier, and the Boardwalk as well as for people-watching. Continue strolling along the water’s edge past the Surfer Statue, past large Victorian Bed and Breakfast mansions, and past Cowell Beach where beginning surfers learn to surf and sunbathers bathe on the beach. If you turn right, you are at the Santa Cruz Pier with all of its shops and restaurants. You may find sea lions lying on platforms below the piers, or pelicans flying by or dive-bombing into the ocean for fish. Continue straight for a couple of more minutes and you are at the Boardwalk, a mecca of amusement rides and activities with a terrific beach and an exciting place to hang out for all the family!
